I see the Notability or goodnotes app everywhere a. So if you're like me and ever wanted to use GoodNotes on Windows I'd recommend checking it out. I have a Lenovo laptop with a touch screen that can also rotate 180 degrees and turn into a tablet. I know a lot of people are like me and are unhappy with OneNote when it comes to digital notetaking and printing to PDF, and whenever I looked up reddit threads people where just like 'welp, there's no other app you're screwed you have to use OneNote'. Notability app is created by Apple and it is not officially available for Windows but you can get the app through an iOS emulator. As a business + computer science double major and campus club.

Just imagine someone taking GoodNotes and porting it over to Windows. Welcome to Notability: powerful, yet wonderfully simple note-taking and PDF annotation. There is pagination, you can change the background color to whatever color you want, you can change the page layout to whatever you want, you can change the page size to whatever you want, when you print to PDF nothing is cut off. Well, I found an app that is exactly like GoodNotes. GoodNotes is a good example of an app I wish was available on Windows. If you just dabble with note-taking from time to time, you’d be much better served by one of the free options here.One of the most frustrating things I've found using OneNote for the past year are the immense amount of work arounds you must do to get something as simple as printing to PDF to not cut off your work arbitrarily, and I've literally done all of the workarounds posted on reddit. While this might all sound great, the $12 price tags (in-app purchases extra for themes) make this a hard sell unless you’re an iPad user who takes notes frequently (for college or work, for instance). Multitasking support shines on the iPad: you can use up to two separate note spaces at a time. I use Notability app because it is very easy to use and it is user-friendly. I can't even imagine what would happen if I couldn't use it. It combines, typing, handwriting, audio recording, and photos so you can create notes. It's not as seamless as using a mac, but with a little bit of setup you can. Notability is a powerful note-taker to annotate documents, sketch ideas, record lectures, take notes and more.

But I have been using notability for about 2 years while exclusively using windows and linux as my primary desktop's.

ICloud supports means that you don’t have to subscribe to a third-party cloud service, as you do with Metamoji or Noteledge (coming up next). I use it every day and it really helps me in my education. I would be very surprised if they released a pc version of the app, if it's on the list at all, its way toward the bottom. Like Goodnotes, notability offers handwriting recognition combined with Apple Pencil support, but it also offers some unique features like – voice-over recording for lectures, split-screen view, etc. While the free and freemium note-taking apps on iPad are great for jotting down notes in a pinch, they lack the close platform integration that Notability and GoodsNotes have. Sounds like GoodNotes? Well, that’s because Notability is a genuine, premium iOS alternative to GoodNotes.
